According to industry experts, 3D printing is set to become a major part of countless applications in future. This made it all the more important to design the powder mixing plant as flexibly as possible.

Powder mixing in three-shift operation

The client needed a highly flexible powder mixing plant with a production capacity of at least three tonnes per shift. JAG developed a complete turnkey solution, including planning construction and automation.

Our solution

The solution covers four docking stations that enable flexible use in terms of containers, dosing and recipe mix. The filling and emptying stations are designed so that they can be easily switched to big bag, IBC, etc. On top of this, the buffer mixer unit ensures maximum capacity utilisation.

The powder mixing plant is operated around the clock in a three-shift operation that requires only two operators. Neither operating nor cleaning the plant exposes the personnel to dust.
